đź”” COMMUNITY UPDATE: NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS đź””
Last night, a home on Eldorado Road was struck by lightning, resulting in a devastating fire that completely destroyed the residence.
Thankfully, no one was home at the time of the incident, and all family members are safe. We are also grateful to share that all of the family's animals, including their dog, cats, fish, and horses, were safely accounted for. While lives were spared, the home and nearly all of the family's belongings were lost due to the combined effects of the fire and water damage.
Out of respect for the family, the Town waited to share this information until all immediate family members had been notified of the devastating loss.
As we did following the North Main Street fire, the Town of Federalsburg is once again serving as a community drop-off location for donations to assist this family as they begin to rebuild.

At the Town of Federalsburg, we believe community extends beyond municipal boundaries. Sometimes, being a good neighbor means reaching across an invisible line on a map to help someone in need. Whether they live inside Town limits or just beyond them, they are still our neighbors.
The strongest communities are not defined by where their borders end, but by where their compassion begins.
Thank you to everyone who continues to demonstrate the kindness, generosity, and heart that makes Federalsburg such a special place. Together, we can help this family take the first steps toward rebuilding. ❤️
