🔔 COMMUNITY UPDATE: NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS 🔔

Last night, a home on Eldorado Road was struck by lightning, resulting in a devastating fire that completely destroyed the residence.

Thankfully, no one was home at the time of the incident, and all family members are safe. We are also grateful to share that all of the family's animals, including their dog, cats, fish, and horses, were safely accounted for. While lives were spared, the home and nearly all of the family's belongings were lost due to the combined effects of the fire and water damage.

Out of respect for the family, the Town waited to share this information until all immediate family members had been notified of the devastating loss.

As we did following the North Main Street fire, the Town of Federalsburg is once again serving as a community drop-off location for donations to assist this family as they begin to rebuild.

• Eddie: XL shirt, 38 waist pants
• Megan: Large
• Ky (upcoming 5th grader): Size 10/12-14/16 -shoe size 5
• Caden (upcoming 3rd grader): Size 10/12 - shoe size 5

🧸 Children's Interests
• Ky: Loves Stitch, art, bracelets, jewelry, and all things sparkly.
• Caden: Loves anything with wheels, Eagles football, and toys.

The officers and members would like to thank the VFW post 5246 Auxiliary for a generous donation of bottled water. It couldn’t have come at a better time as we exhausted our supply at the fire Saturday evening. We appreciate it very much. 🙏

The officers and members are proud to announce that we have placed in service a Tractor Trailer Tanker. The tanker has a 6,000 gallon tank with a 750gpm pump. We purchased this truck from Bridgeville Fire Department. It is a honor to dedicate this truck to past Chief Robert A Murphy ( Bob ). Mr. Bob has always wanted a Big tanker in our station; he is one of our oldest active members and takes the most pride in the department. Thank you Mr. Bob for your past and continued years of service, dedication and ongoing leadership!
