Still Th'Air

Still Th'Air Steiner Cabin, constructed in 1932, purchased by William Graeper in 1942 for $1500. HELL, I built this cabin!" John Steiner... A True Mountain Man.

Still Th'Air is a "Steiner Built" log cabin, constructed in 1932 by Henry Steiner (deceased) and sons, Fred (deceased) & John (deceased 2012). In 2009, John Steiner visited Still Th'Air and when asked if he remembered his Dad building the cabin he quipped, "My Dad? "Still Th'Air", well built and well loved. Named in 1942, after William Graeper bought the cabin (for the ungodly sum of $1500). Comi

ng around the corner on Marion Ave his mother-in-law (Grandma Tina) would exclaim..."Yep, It's still there." and the name stuck. A little editorial liberty was taking by combining the name of the creek next to which the cabin sits and how great and calm the mountain air is and violå... "Still Th'Air". Complete with updated indoor plumbing (including a nice shower and instant hot water heater), and a well-stocked, fully equipped kitchen, Still Th'Air is available for rent to family and friends.
