During a global pandemic, adjusting to uncertainty and even learning how to embrace it are keys to success.

That mindset drives Brittany Brunson, Philip Miller and Gaurav Sethi from #JSOM in their academic and professional pursuits. It also earned them each a $15,000 Mitchell Family Foundation Scholar Award from the Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation.

Networking (Even Virtually) is Still King for Career Advancement - Inside Jindal School at UT Dallas

Networking – even virtually – is still king when it comes to career advancement. "Learning how to network both in person and virtually helps you learn how to be more maneuverable and agile. My Journey From Boots to Business

"Since I can remember, I’ve always known I wanted to be a part of something bigger; I have regularly strived to make an impact and grow in every situation. That is why the world of business has fascinated me from an early age; it never ceases to present challenges and opportunities.

Upon graduating from high school, I decided to join the military instead! After 10 years of decorated service and having never scratched my itch to jump into business, I made the tough decision to pivot, and I haven’t looked back."

Capsim and the Balanced Scorecard (BSC)

The Balanced Score Card (BSC) is similar to what industry now uses to measure company performance. Firms realized that financial gains (profits and stock price) were not the complete measure of their work. Other metrics, such as innovation, customer acceptance and employee attitude also should be considered when looking at long-term success.
