Dallas Chinese Community Center 達拉斯華人活動中心 The Dallas Chinese Community Center (DCCC) serves both the Asian and the non-Asian Communities in the DFW region.

緣起

達拉斯華人活動中心成立於1985年4月，為北德州地區第一個亞裔人士組成的活動中心。當年由一批來自臺灣、香港等地的華人集資創立，後曾獲得臺灣僑務單位的補助，服務僑胞前後二十年。多年來在本地華人的努力下，中文書籍、電腦設備、中國歷代服裝、文物等陸續充實，而成為達拉斯，甚至北德州地區有關中華文化資源與人才最豐富的一個組織，也因此使中心成為服務華人，向主流社會宣揚中華文化的最佳組織與地點。

改制

自2001年起，本中心的經營轉交華人社區後，成為一個非政治、非宗教、非營利的機構。由熱心人士組成理事會，負責華人活動中心的日常營運與所需經費的籌募。

現況

目前，這個位於李察遜市中國城內的「華人活動中心」有大廳、圖書室（中文圖書及雜誌供會員借出）、會議室、及電腦教室等。平常除圖書室開放供民眾使用外，每週並開設電腦、功夫、中國書法、舞蹈、桌球、太極拳等教學活動。

期許

「為所有來自世界各

地的華人提供一個傳承中華文化、教育、及休閒的場所，並成為與主流社會互相交流的窗口」這是達福地區所有華人的共同心願。而它更需要的是大家共同努力與合作。俗話說「眾人添材火焰高」，「聚沙成塔」，活動中心需要可觀的經費才得以維持，「我們的服務相信是大家看得見、享受得到的。希望您是常來活動中心的朋友，更是熱心捐獻的一員，讓達拉斯華人活動中心因為有您的一點助掖而能永續發展。

這種情況發生時，親人往往陷入痛苦的爭執，甚至背負一輩子的罪惡感。

❓什麼是**「生前醫療指示 (Medical Power of Attorney Designation of Health Care Agent, MPOA)」**？
