Letter F this week: football, fish, frogs, fall, and fun. We had lots of focus on our fine motor skills: squeezing drops of watercolors on coffee filters, tweezers to line our F with frogs, connecting toys, and using dobbers. Have a great weekend!

I am so grateful for my exceptional staff! Yesterday, there were cars pulling in for an event at the church that would take up all the spots that our parents need. They realized what was happening and had already put out chairs to reserve the spaces and redirected the cars pulling in. Little Disciples is blessed to have teachers who are constantly brainstorming to improve our program and who are willing to do what is necessary to keep our kiddos safe and help our parents. Thank you!

More pictures of Older Four’s using our 5 senses inside and outside. We were lucky and got to go to the garden right after one of the classes at St Joseph’s school had planted carrots! Mrs Nguyen spoke to our class and we enjoyed learning outside! We discovered we use many senses at once! We heard the church bells, saw and heard an airplane, birds, and had a great day discovering.
Also, we had a great ghost balloon science experiment!

A peek into Y3 classroom:
Letter B with crafts Bird & Butterfly and Bunny counting.
Letter C with crafts Cow and Candy Corn. We tore construction paper with our fingers to work those fine motor skills. We also strengthened our fine motor skills with squeeze bottles of glue. We had candy corn counting. Counting with Cows and their spots.

And let’s not forget National M&M day! Our young toddler room shared their awesome science experiment and our kids loved the reaction and seeing the colors.

Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend and enjoy this beautiful weather.

Older 3’s have had a very fun and busy last couple of weeks! We’ve done some really cool crafts and projects. Had lots of fun playing with our friends both outside and inside. We used grippers on our hands to help us learn how to hold our pencils. And a Big Thank You to both the Richardson Police and Fire Departments for their visits! We always love when they visit.

This week was all about Community helpers. We were lucky to have Richardson Police and Richardson Fire Dept come visit. We had fun “putting out our fire” while working on those fine motor skills. We have some future doctors, police officers, fire fighters, and an astronaut. Some were confused with Halloween so we even have a mermaid and caballo (🐴). 😍🥰

Thank you to all the families that brought treats to show our appreciation.

Older 4’s had a fantastic Texas Week! We decorated our own hats and bandanas. Rodeo Day was full of fun…we ran barrel races, don’t drop the egg races, don’t spill the milk game, rope the calf (or Eeyore), and bean bag toss. Later we read a story and had s’mores by the campfire. We learned about our state flower, bird and tree! And we finished the week with a hot dog picnic outside!!

*Be on the lookout for a video with more Texas Week pictures!

We ended our name weeks with a pizza party! Our kiddos LOVE pizza everyone ate 2 pieces and some even had 3!! 🍕😍🥰

The best Pre-K! Love all of the wonderful teachers! They have your child's best interest at heart. A wonderful start to school with a caring and loving foundation for children and families. My daughter is still in contact and friends with many of the kids she met when she was there years ago.
