The Mandt System

The Mandt System “Reducing Workplace Violence means Increasing Workplace Safety through Positive Behavior Supports” As an organization, we see ourselves as partners, not just vendors, with organizations who want to utilize the most comprehensive training program available to do more than anger management or crisis prevention.
(22)

Since 1975 we have helped organizations to lay the foundations upon which human services can be delivered and received, and that foundation is the relationships between the people in the workplace. Our vision is to become partners with human service organizations that desire to decrease workplace violence by increasing the safety of all the stakeholders through the use of Positive Behavior Support. To be chosen to become a partner, we envision ourselves as being Excellent, Effective, and Efficient and teaching others how to apply these principles within their organizations.

Mission: The Mandt System®, developed by David Mandt and Associates is an internationally known staff development and training program providing a comprehensive array of services to organizations, their employees, and the people with whom they interact. Building Healthy Positive Relationships between and among these constituents is the ultimate goal of our training programs. The entire philosophy of The Mandt System® programs and services is based on “Putting People First” and on “Supporting People, Not Just Their Behaviors™”. Our philosophy is reflected through a multiple array of venues: * In-person competency based training * Professional consultations * Innovative and interactive teaching techniques * Continuous improvement and innovation in all areas of the business

Mandt for Families

As parents we help our children develop an understanding of the world around them. Asking "why?" is a normal part of the development process. Some kids need to ask "why?" a lot (did I say A LOT?! 😉) to process and understand.

This can be frustrating so remember to #affirmyourfeelings and resist the urge to say "because I said so." This may stop the questioning but it doesn't help our kiddos understand something that doesn't make sense to them. #WednesdayWisdom

It may not always feel like it, but we have tremendous power to affect our kids' behaviors. The words we use, the way we say them, whether we sit, stand or pace, the placement of our hands -- all of these actions reflect our attitude and our emotions. Our kiddos are watching us to see how they should behave, too. Teach them #WednesdayWisdom #Family #DignityandRespect #eLearning @ mandt4families.com

This is one of our favorite quotes from the Mandt for Families program. Listen to hear and understand, not just to respond. This takes practice but the results are so worth it. #wednesdaywisdom #dignityandrespect #family

Take a moment at some point each day to check in on yourself. Stop what you are doing, close your eyes and pause the outside world for just a few seconds. Remember, your feelings and your wellbeing are so important. #wednesdaywisdom #family

If your kiddos are returning to school soon - whether in person or virtually - remember to hold onto this. Forgive yourself, forgive others, and do better next time. You've got this! #wednesdaywisdom #latepost #backtoschool

This is so important right now. As schools begin to start back (whether virtual or in-person) we can all expect some frustration, headaches and maybe a few tears. Letting your kiddos vent is so important during this extra challenging time. Remember that venting in a safe, non-directed way is healthy. #wednesdaywisdom #family #backtoschool

Our feelings are very real, but sometimes they can get us into trouble if we respond too quickly 😬🤭 We are all navigating these difficult times together, trying to find our new normal. If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed or frustrated during all of this just remember to check in on yourself. #WednesdayWisdom #SocialDistancing #BeKind

I desire for my children to deal with conflicts in a way that build others up while not tearing people down... About to begin my skills class. Class of 14 today. To be here for 10 hours they are good sports!
Really love being an instructor! I had a really good class today. I’ve got a high risk class Monday and Tuesday, can’t wait, teaching skills is my favorite.
Because it addresses the possibility of violence and the strategies to avoid it within the context of preserving the integrity of individuals involved. No bullies here.
I am a Mandt trainer for my agency. As an agency we would like to create and offer sustainment training for people that have completed that RCT certification. I would love to know how other agencies keep the the Mandt teachings fresh on peoples minds.
Just finished up 4 days Instructor training with Tim, Stacey and Tammy. I have been trained in Mandt for years and never have a ever connected the dots until now. Thank you SO much Tim for guiding us to be the best we can be. I am excited to pass along all the useful information, especially the Relational section!
Does anyone know how to do the online instructor tests for chapters 4,5, and 6?
