π Our February member of the month is... Natalie Baker! Shes a sophomore accounting major with a minor in business intelligence and analytics! She aspires to go into audit and then become a CFO! A fun fact about her is that sheβs and active member of Daughters of the American Revolution and enjoys volunteering with them in the Dallas chapter and whenever she visits home to Houston. She loves exploring Dallas in her free time with friends and getting to know the city that is now her home away from home π

Meet Sarah Chan, the Treasurer.
Fun fact: She has lived in four countries: Malaysia, Japan, England, and the USA. π Her words of wisdom π: Joining different organizations is the fastest way to make new friends on campus! Donβt feel limited by your major either; feel free to try whatever interests you.
Meet Satvik Bacchu, the Secretary. He is an Accounting major with an ITS minor.
Fun fact: He loves driving at night! π His words of wisdom π: Don't focus only on classes and/or work. Have a fun time while in college, hangout with friends and don't be afraid try new things.
Meet Serine Sarraj, the Marketing Officer! She plans to get her CPA and work in public accounting.
Fun fact: She played the violin for 6 years
β‘οΈ Her words of wisdom β‘οΈ: Get to know your professors and the people in your classes, you never know what opportunities can come from meeting different people!
Meet Jacob Fisch, the Historian! He is an Honors Student in the Davidson Management Honors Program majoring in Accounting with a Finance Minor.
Fun Fact: He really enjoys traveling. β‘οΈ His words of wisdom β‘οΈ: Join student organizations on campus, like UAC. Not only will organizations help you make new friends, but they can also introduce you to career opportunities.
Meet Alice Huang, the Public Relations Officer! She plans on getting her CPA and working in public accounting.
Fun fact: She is OBSESSED with Taylor Swift! β¨ Her words of wisdom β¨: Get involved! Itβs such an easy way to network and make your college experience so much more fun!
Meet Caroline Dillard, the Event Coordinator. She is a tax Intern at McCarthy, Rose & Mills, LLP.
Fun fact: She writes poetry and a few pieces have been published. β¨ Her words of wisdom β¨: Talk to people! It gets less scary the more you do it. Also make time for hobbies/interests outside of JSOM so you can broaden your interests and meet more people.
Meet Diego Figueroa, the Communications Officer! He is in PPA 13.
Fun Fact: He conducts for a volunteer orchestra! βοΈ His words of wisdom βοΈ: Be friendly! Donβt be afraid to say hi to people; it can go a long way
Meet Pranami Saha, the Membership Officer! She is in PPA 13.
Fun Fact: She is a vegetarian foodie so she knows all the vegetarian and vegan restaurants in the area. π Her words of wisdom π: Network! Network! Network! Attend the networking events and reach out to professionals in the firm/field you want to work for.
Meet Ayla Dossal, the 2019-2020 President of the Undergraduate Accounting Club! She is an Accounting major with a Spanish minor. She is also an intern at Fortress Investment Group and part of PPA 13. Fun fact: she loves ice cream π¦π¦π¦ Her words of wisdom: donβt be afraid to meet new people! Friends make everything so much better(: + handshake super useful to find internship β¨
Meet Sharon Lin, the 2019-2020 Vice President of the Undergraduate Accounting Club! She is currently interning at Leon Capital Group, an investment company with a focus on real estate. She will fast track with PPA and plans to work in public accounting! Fun fact: She was a campus tour guide for one year - so sheβs learned how to walk backwards at a lot of places on campus. β¨ Her words of wisdom β¨: There are so many campus events and workshops to help students grow academically and professionally. I would recommend our underclassmen to familiarize and take advantage of those resources. Also donβt procrastinate on your accounting assignments!!

We provide information and opportunities that will assist you in your accounting careers. All accounting students and those interested in the field are encouraged to come!
