It is with great sorrow to pass along that Mat Wycoff has died after his courageous battle with cancer. Mat served in a few different communities and we were extremely blessed to have him serve with us here lately. Mat was an amazing friend and an outstanding provider. He will be truly missed. Please continue to come out to the BBQ as all proceeds will go to his family.

Due to extreme weather conditions, Chester County EMS will be staffing one additional unit to assist in emergencies until further notice.
This is to better serve the county as we weather this storm together and to provide safe options for our crews. PLEASE BE PATIENT with our crews as we will still be responding to all emergencies as safe as possible with high winds and possible flooding.

Welcome to Chester County Andrea! We’re excited to have you on our team and learn from your years of experience! Let’s keep growing!

We are excited to welcome Andrea Pelkey to Chester County EMS as our new Training Officer!

Andrea brings with her a wealth of experience and passion for EMS, with 28 years in the field. Born and raised in New Jersey, she made South Carolina her home six years ago. Andrea is a proud graduate of East Stroudsburg University in PA and has been teaching EMT classes at York Technical College while also contributing to the paramedic program.

Outside of her professional life, Andrea is a dedicated family person, married with a stepson and two beloved dogs. She enjoys cooking, rock hunting, camping, and hiking. Andrea is actively involved in her community and is eager to start working with the residents of Chester County.

We had a great company meeting last night!
We were able to cover very exciting topics and changes over the next coming months and meet our new training coordinator Andrea Pelkey!
And we’d like to give a special thank you and congratulations to Richard McElveen for 31 years of service to this community! We cannot begin to count the lives you have impacted over that time and on behalf of the entire Chester County community, we thank you!
