The Richfield Springs Fire Department was founded in August of 1879 and was first known as the Richfield Hose Company #1 then later Canadarago Hose Company # 2 also formed and on January 20 1880 the Richfield Springs Hook and Ladder Co. # 1 was organized. It wasnt untill 1920 the three companies would combine into the present Richfield Springs Fire Dept. in 1949 the fire District composed of the

Town of Richfield and Town of Warren. In 1953 is when the Present Fire house was built and held its first meeting that same year.

We the members of the Richfield Springs Fire Department send our condolences to Mike's family, Friends and the West Winfield Fire Department. Mike was also a huge asset to our community as well as many others. He will be greatly missed. RIP Michael Grann .

We the Officers and members of the Richfield Springs Fire Department take this day to remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Reminder of the 2 parades and Memorial day services first one is Schuyler lake starting at 9am with a Memorial service to follow and the Second is Richfield's kick off at 10:30 starting from Johnson st down main st west to the Memorial park where the Legion will be holding a Memorial service. Following that there is a chicken BBQ held by the Son's of the American Legion at the Legion on Lake St. Please stop by and support them. Thank you and have a safe Memorial day.
