🗞️Revere Alumni Hall of Fame Inducts 1996 Graduate and Accomplished Musician Ethan Margolis
Revere Local Schools and the Revere Alumni Association are proud to announce the induction of Ethan Margolis, Revere High School Class of 1996, into the Revere Alumni Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony took place Friday, September 4, 2026, and is presented by the Revere Alumni Association and the Revere Schools Foundation.
Margolis, a Richfield resident from childhood and 1996 Revere graduate, has built an accomplished international career as a guitarist, composer, and musician. His musical journey has taken him from Revere to the University of Michigan and, ultimately, to Spain, where he immersed himself in the study and performance of Flamenco music.
After spending more than a decade in Spain, Margolis returned to the United States and became an active member of the Los Angeles jazz scene. He has performed at renowned venues and festivals and collaborated with an impressive collection of musicians, including Chano Domínguez, Larry Grenadier, Macy Gray, Judith Hill, Gary Novak, Eric Harland, Carlos Henriquez and Pedrito Martinez. He also collaborated on a special project with Ohio artist and Calvin and Hobbes creator Bill Watterson.
Margolis has released multiple albums as a bandleader, including Interlude of the Duende, The Blues Around Us, Soleángeles, Arsa 100, En Madrid, Speakeasy Session and Sonikete Blues.
His induction reflects not only an extraordinary musical career, but also the unique paths Revere graduates take after leaving the classroom. Margolis continues to explore the connections between Flamenco, jazz, blues and other musical traditions while bringing his own distinctive voice to his work.
The Hall of Fame induction began with an Inductee Greeting and School Tour at 9:30 a.m. in the RHS Atrium, followed by an assembly at 10:10 a.m. in the Revere High School Gymnasium. Revere High School Principal Doug Faris will provided welcoming remarks, with the presentation of the inductee led by Phil Heyn, President of the Revere Alumni Association.
