Art in the Park!

The Richfield Heritage Preserve Conservancy recently hosted the second free art class, Drawing in Nature, taught by artist and educator Debra DeGregorio.

From beginners to advanced artists, participants had the opportunity to strengthen their drawing skills in a nurturing learning environment on the beautiful porch of the Amity House.

Capture The Heart of The Park Photo Contest!

This weekend is the perfect time to visit Richfield Heritage Preserve!

The weather is looking beautiful, so grab your camera or phone, explore the park, and capture the heart of RHP for our Capture the Heart of the Park Photo Contest!

From scenic trails and peaceful lakes to wildlife, historic buildings, and special moments in nature—there’s no shortage of inspiration across our 336 acres.

Photos should be taken between July 1 – September 30, 2026
Start exploring, start photographing, and let your favorite moments tell the story of what makes Richfield Heritage Preserve such a special place.

Lower Lake Maintenance!

The Lower Lake has been temporarily lowered for routine maintenance.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete this important work. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to restoring the lake to its normal level soon!

FYI: Look up tonight! A partial lunar eclipse will be visible in our skies tonight.

An almost total eclipse of the Moon will occur tonight for most of the Americas! Skywatchers in the eastern half of North America can watch the entire eclipse from start to finish. Westerners will see the partially eclipsed Moon rise at sunset in the evening (August 27th), with the deepest stage at mideclipse still to come.

Buckeye Trail Reopened!

Thanks to the hard work of RHP staff and volunteers, volunteers from Fast Girls Running Company, The Buckeye Trail Association, Scout Troop 575, and a township trustee, the Buckeye Trail section along the Upper Lake is now open!

You may notice piles of vegetation in the meadow, along the trail, and near Gemini. This work is part of the ongoing habitat restoration efforts throughout the park. Thank you for your patience as we continue working to remove these piles in the future.

Throwback Thursday!

Throwing it back to 2018! A big thank you to Cuyahoga Valley Career Center(CVCC), the dedicated volunteers, residents, donors, and board members who helped make this exciting project possible!

In 2018, CVCC students gained valuable hands-on experience while helping renovate the Caretaker House at Richfield Heritage Preserve. Through this incredible community partnership, students contributed their skills in construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance.

Partnerships like this create meaningful learning opportunities while making lasting improvements to our park.
