Richfield Middle School

Richfield Middle School We help students discover who they are and how they fit into the world. We are a sixth, seventh and eighth grade middle school.

With a small-school feel, strong communication and genuine care from every adult, our students thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Our current enrollment is about 840 students, and growing. All students have 45-minute Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies classes daily. Exploratory classes are offered to each student at every grade, and include health, physical education, Span

ish, art and STE(A)M classes. Students can take up to two of these classes each semester. These opportunities broaden the student's perspective on the world of learning and expose them to new ideas and skills. Exploratory classes also serve to spark student interest in subjects that they may take as electives in high school. Students may also choose band or choir as an elective class. These classes include full-class instruction as well as small group lessons.

We received an Award of Excellence from the National School Public Relations Association, which recognizes outstanding school communication work from across the country. This recognition reflects the incredible students, staff and families who help make Richfield Middle School a place where every student belongs, is valued and can thrive.

For 15 years, Frank Berg has been a familiar and encouraging presence at Richfield Middle School. Through his volunteer work supporting small groups of students in math, Frank helped students grow not only academically, but also in confidence. His patience, kindness and dedication made a lasting difference in the lives of many Spartans.

As Frank steps away from volunteering, we want to thank him for the incredible impact he has made on our school community over the years. We are so grateful for everything he has given to RMS students and staff. Read more about Frank below. 💛

After 15 years of volunteering at Richfield Middle School, Frank Berg is stepping away, leaving behind a legacy that goes far beyond math lessons.
