ReWorks Recycling Days continue today, August 25th, as well as tomorrow August 26th and Friday, August 28th from 3-6pm.

Summit County residents and businesses can bring the materials listed below to ReWorks Collection Center at 1201 Graham Road in Stow.

Accepted Materials:
Styrofoam (tm);
Glass Bottles and Jars;
Cardboard;
Cooking Oil;
Campaign Signs;
String lights/cords;
Cell Phones;
Laptops/Tablets;
DVD/VCR players;
Televisions (limit 2 per vehicle);
Monitors (limit 2 per vehicle)

New Accepted Material:
Golf Balls

Prepayment and registration required for tires:

Tires. $4 per tire. Limit 10 per vehicle. Pay through online registration only. For more information on tires

As a thank you to Summit County Communities, the Akron Zoo is hosting Summit County Community Appreciation Days. Residents can enjoy free admission to the zoo for the entire month of September! Tickets are good for one free visit to the zoo and must be reserved online and in advance at https://www.akronzoo.org/community-days. Tickets may be reserved for any day, September 1 - 30, 2026, while supplies last. Tickets will be limited to four per household. Reserved tickets will be emailed and will only be valid for the date they have been selected and cannot be exchanged.

How to reserve complimentary tickets:

1. Go to http://www.akronzoo.org/community-days
2. Click “Reserve Tickets”
3. Select the number of guests in your group. Each household may reserve up to 4 tickets.
4. Select the date of your visit! If the date is grayed out, that date is no longer available.
5. Confirm the time of your visit and add your tickets to your cart.
6. Select “Checkout”. Your tickets will not show the discounted price until you log in to your account or checkout as a guest with a valid Summit County address.

Ticket reservations are date-specified. The zoo is a rain, snow, or shine facility.
