🔥 RCFD Fire Prevention Message – June Fire Safety 🔥
As we head into summer, the Richland Center Fire Department would like to remind everyone to practice safe outdoor burning and grilling habits.
☀️ Summer Fire Safety Tips:
• Never leave a grill unattended while cooking.
• Keep grills at least 10 feet away from homes, decks, and other combustible materials.
• Dispose of charcoal ashes in a metal container and allow them to cool completely.
• Check local burning regulations before starting any outdoor fire.
• Always have a water source, hose, or fire extinguisher nearby when burning.
• Keep children and pets away from grills, campfires, and fire pits.
• Fully extinguish campfires before leaving the area.
🚒 Remember: Dry grass, windy conditions, and unattended fires can quickly turn a small fire into a large emergency.
🚨 RCFD Open House – June 13 🚨
While you’re enjoying Rodeo Weekend, be sure to stop by the Richland Center Fire Department Open House on Saturday, June 13, immediately following the Rodeo Parade!
This is a great opportunity to:
✅ Meet your local firefighters
✅ Tour the fire station
✅ See the fire trucks and equipment up close
✅ Learn about fire prevention and fire safety
✅ Ask questions about the department and volunteer opportunities
We look forward to seeing members of our community and sharing what we do to help keep the Richland Center Fire District safe.
The Richland Center Fire Department wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable June. Taking a few extra precautions can help prevent fires and protect your family, neighbors, and property.
