Hey Richland School District 7th & 8th graders - have you signed up for your FREE Symons Recreation Complex membership yet? Get everything at Symons - swimming pool, racquetball courts, fitness & weight rooms, fitness classes and basketball/pickleball courts - all summer long! Your FREE membership runs from June 1-August 31, but you need a parent to fill out the registration form. Whether you come 50 times or not at all, it still costs you nothing for this FREE membership. Kids in 6th-8th grade can stay active this summer at Symons with our Kids Fitness classes taught by certified instructor Kourtni Urban on Wednesday afternoons. The classes are FREE for Symons members & don't forget, 7th and 8th graders from the Richland School District receive a free summer membership which gets them access to fitness rooms, racquetball courts, swimming pool and campus gymnasium as well as these NEW youth fitness classes-all FREE and designed to keep kids active and healthy over the summer months. Thanks to all instructors, lifeguards, school officials, bus drivers, students and especially our donors - the W.R. & Floy Family Foundation and the Richland County Campus Foundation - for a successful year of FREE SWIM LESSONS to all 3rd graders of St. Mary's School and the Richland Center Intermediate School. We provided water safety lessons during the school day for almost 100 local third graders. This new program allowed us to reach more kids who may not have the financial means or transportation options to otherwise receive swim lessons, and helps address our goal of ensuring that our kids receive health and fitness support as well as access to basic water safety.
We expect this program to return in the 2026-27 school year and hopefully expand to include additional schools in the near future, provided we continue to receive generous support from our donors. Make sure you continue to work on your swim skills at Symons Recreation Complex, the Woodman Aquatic Center, or whenever you will be during those hot summer days that are just around the corner!

Thanks to a grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation, Symons is offering FREE SUMMER MEMBERSHIPS to 7th and 8th graders of the Richland School District! With summer giving our schools a needed break, we encourage students to fill their extra time with social fitness activities to stay healthy and connected to your peers.
Registration forms are available through the Richland Center High School office as well as at Symons. To be eligible, students must have been enrolled in Richland Center School District as a 7th or 8th grade student in the 2025-26 school year. Your free student membership is valid June 1-August 31 and allows access to the swimming pool, fitness rooms, weight equipment, racquetball courts and campus gymnasium during regular business hours.
At Symons, we believe in starting healthy habits early, and providing free summer memberships to kids who otherwise may complain of being bored or missing their friends over the summer break is another way we are working to improve health and fitness habits of our youth to carry on through life. Don't forget to get your registration form at the Richland Center High School or at Symons and sign up for your FREE summer student membership.

Super Hero Night…
What an amazing finish to our Sweat in Style Week. The group surprised me in dressing as Me, their “Super Hero” 🥹 (I’m usually in black, wasn’t hard to find an outfit 😁)
Each and everyone of you are a hero in my book! Everyone has gone through ups and downs in their life, but continue to show up for themselves and make themselves stronger. I’m so happy to be able to be a little part of this amazing fitness family!
Thank you again for making this a FUN filled week! We will have to do it again! 💛💛
