Last night was a wonderful **National Night Out** here in Richland County! 🚑💙

We had a great time meeting so many amazing members of our community, showing off our ambulance and equipment, and sharing more about what Richland County Ambulance does to serve our residents every day.

A huge **thank you** to **Jason Marshall, Alivya Young, Jada Baker, and Christine Younger** for volunteering your time and representing Richland County Ambulance at the event. We truly appreciate your dedication and willingness to connect with our community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit us. We enjoyed meeting you and look forward to seeing you again at future community events!

🚨 Air Quality Alert for Richland County 🚨

The air quality in Richland County is currently at unhealthy levels due to smoke and fine particulate matter. These conditions can affect anyone, but they pose an even greater risk for children, older adults, pregnant individuals, and those with asthma, COPD, heart disease, or other respiratory conditions.

To protect yourself:
🌫️ Limit time outdoors, especially strenuous activities.
🏠 Keep windows and doors closed when possible.
❄️ Run your air conditioning on recirculate if available.
😷 If you must be outside for an extended period, consider wearing a well-fitted N95 mask.
💧 Stay hydrated and monitor yourself and your family for symptoms such as coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, or eye irritation.

If you experience severe difficulty breathing, chest pain, confusion, or any other medical emergency, call 911 immediately.

Please check on your neighbors, family members, and friends who may be more vulnerable to poor air quality.

Stay informed, stay safe, and take precautions until conditions improve.
