Due to fire fighting equipment at Holcomb Park, please park boat trailers/vehicles on the hill where marked. Boat launching is still open at Holcomb, but it would be better to launch at Hewitt.

Hewitt Park remains unaffected by fire fighting operations.

Know that "old" signs and buoys still exist out there that read, "Slow No Wake 5 MPH."

Nearly a decade ago, the definition was changed to better describe the mechanics of wake, and the 5 MPH speed limit was removed. Some boats had to operate over 5 MPH to make headway or maintain safe steerage under certain conditions, such as current, tide, and wind.

Celebrate July 4th and the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the United States of America!

Remember: There are no fireworks allowed on any of the Baker County Parks properties. Violators will be trespassed for up to 5-years.

Parks properties: Hewitt and Holcomb Parks, Sumpter Valley Dredge Tailings, Hells Canyon Wayside, Halfway Wigwam, Fizz Spring, Wingville Cemetery, and the Sumpter Valley RR Depot.

Stay safe, have fun, and help prevent wildfires by enjoying the fireworks at the local communities.
