The fire department was formed in early 1907 with 51 charter members. The name chosen for the company is somewhat unique; there are many companies that are named after the municipality they are in or names such as Citizens, Union, Perseverance, Keystone, Chemical, and Hook and Ladder. There are though few that are named Neptune.

🔥Working House Fire🔥

This morning at 7:24am Engine and Squad 33 were dispatched to respond to a reported house on fire in the 100 block of West Main Ave. in Myerstown Borough. Squad 33 responded w/5 and Engine 33 responded w/1. Deputy 31 arrived with smoke showing making it a working fire. Squad 33 arrived, forwarded its manpower and was immediately put to work assisting with primary searches of the fire building and the Bravo exposure as well as checking for extension. First in units were able to quickly hold the fire in check containing it to the area of origin. No injuries were reported. Richland units cleared the scene at 8:37am.

🧜🏻‍♂️MAMA Fire Training Weekend🧜🏻‍♂️

This weekend members from the Neptune traveled to Lycoming County for MAMA training weekend. Members are spending their weekend taking various different courses. As always we would like to express a HUGE thank you to Montoursville Fire Department for allowing our members to stay at their firehouse and for the hospitality! We hope to continue the strong working relationship with Company 20 for many years to come. We enjoy spending our time with like minded firemen and such motivated individuals!🔥

💥🚗MVA in Millcreek Twp.💥🚗

Last evening 13 members from the Neptune traveled to Newmanstown Vol. Fire Co. for the first night of our annual Hazmat Operations Refresher class.

Just as class came to an end, At 8:51pm Company 33 and 34 were dispatched to respond to the 800 block of Weavertown Rd. In Millcreek Twp. for a pole and wires down after an MVA. Squad 33 responded from fire station 34 w/7 along with Utility 33 w/2, Engine 34, Rescue 34 and Chief 34. Engine 33 responded from Richland w/1. Units arrived to find a single vehicle that had struck a telephone pole. Chief 34 requested a BLS ambulance to respond to the scene to evaluate the involved parties for injuries. 1 person was transported to the hospital. Companies cleared the scene at 10pm. 📸-John Sileski & Neptune Fire Co.

The Neptune Fire Company is excited to announce that we have received our money tickets and that they are available once again. Top prize of $10,000!! Over $20,000 in prizes on the main ticket, along with plenty of 50/50 raffles and some other raffles the day of the drawing. Beer and food are included on the day of the raffle. 🔥Working Tractor Fire w/ Extension To Barn🔥

At 2:27pm yesterday afternoon Engine and Squad 33 were dispatched to assist Berks Company 52 (Marion) for reports of a Barn on fire in the 200 block of School Road in Marion Twp. Berks County. E33 w/3, Squad 33 w/5 and Deputy 33 all responded. While units were enroute Assistant 52 advised of a column of smoke from a few miles out and struck the 2nd Alarm due to low manpower. Engine 52 arrived to a tractor on fire with extension to a barn. Engine and Squad 33 arrived and assisted with checking for extension and overhaul before being released by command. Thanks to a quick response by Deputy 52 and Engine 52, damage to the barn was held to a minimum and the cows were unharmed! Unfortunately the tractor was a total loss.

🚌MVA Involving School Bus In the Borough of Richland🚌

On the morning of March 4th, 2026 at 8:30am Company 33 was alerted to respond to the area of West Linden Street & Apple Alley in the Borough of Richland for a non-injury MVA. Utility 33 w/3, Squad 33 w/3, Deputy 33 and Fire Police 33 all responded. Upon arrival, units found a school bus had left the roadway and struck a telephone pole, snapping the pole off at the bottom. At the time of the crash there was 4 children and 2 adults on the bus. Deputy 33 requested 2 BLS ambulances to respond to the scene to evaluate the passengers for injuries. 1 passenger was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. PA State Police are investigating the crash.

🧜🏻‍♂️33 Assists SLFD 48 with Staffing During Banquet🧜🏻‍♂️

Saturday evening 2 members from the Neptune Fire Co. traveled to South Lebanon Twp. Fire Department to assist in staffing their apparatus while most of their membership took the night off for their year end banquet. We would like to thank SLFD for the invite and we were very grateful for the opportunity to help them out and appreciate their hospitality! We hope to continue the great working relationship between our departments!

‼️Huge Thanks To MGD Tractor and Equipment‼️

Recently we have had some winter weather in Richland with 2 back to back winter storms moving through the area. Membership of the Neptune ensured our front ramp and parking lot was clear of snow so the apparatus could respond to emergencies quickly! You may have seen a skid steer clearing snow at the firehouse. This opportunity was made possible through MGD Tractor and Equipment in Lebanon. Without them we wouldn’t have had this machinery to assist us in clearing the snow. With that being said we’d like to express a HUGE thank you to MGD Tractor and Equipment for their generosity in allowing us to borrow the skid steer for both winter storms! We appreciate it more than they know!
