This morning at 08:30, Luce Fire, along with Ohio Township Fire, Spencer County EMS & Spencer County Sheriff, were dispatched to an overturned grain truck on CR 500 N. Due to the nature of the mechanism of injury and the length of time for extrication of the driver, Air Evac 46 Evansville was called for air transport. Also called was Tri-State Towing and Recovery for the handling of the overturned grain truck and the spilled grain. The driver was safely extricated and transported for medical care. Thanks to all involved, in the rescue, and the ability of multiple agencies to come together to accomplish extended & complicated emergencies, within our county. Please be aware, especially with SR66 being closed, that it is harvest time and large equipment will be on the backroads this time of year. Be Safe!
