Blue skies, beautiful fall weather, and some truly wonderful conversations this weekend in Schoolcraft and Vicksburg!

Our team knocked on hundreds of doors this week, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate the folks who took a few minutes to talk with us. Whether we agreed on everything or not, the conversations were genuine, thoughtful, and a great reminder of why I decided to run for office.

One thing I keep hearing is that people are tired of the political extremes. They aren't looking for someone to represent the loudest voices in a political party. They're looking for someone who will represent THEM. Someone who listens, understands their concerns, and is willing to work with others to find common-sense solutions.

That's why I'm especially honored to have received the endorsement of the Michigan Common Sense Party, an organization founded by former Republican leaders that endorses Democrats and Republicans who believe in integrity, constitutional democracy, and putting good governance ahead of party politics.

After more than 20 years serving our country in uniform, I learned that you don't have to agree on everything to work together, solve problems, and accomplish something meaningful. You just have to respect one another and remember who you're there to serve.

To everyone who opened their doors, shared a story, offered encouragement, or simply gave us a friendly wave, thank you! And a huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who keep showing up and putting in the miles. You make this campaign special.

Coming off a HUGE weekend of canvassing from Parchment through Cooper Township, we're keeping the momentum rolling and heading to Schoolcraft!

The energy, enthusiasm, and support we're seeing across District 42 have been incredible. Now it's time to keep knocking doors, listening to our neighbors, and getting out the vote!

What a beautiful weekend to be out canvassing!

I’m incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support we felt across Cooper Township. Every conversation, handshake, and word of encouragement reminds me what this campaign is really about: people, families, and communities looking out for one another.

The highlight of my weekend was meeting a 20-year-old IBEW Local 131 member and first-time voter who told me how excited he was to cast his first ballot and support a fellow union member.

That conversation stuck with me because it represents so much of what we’re fighting for: good union jobs, strong public schools, opportunities for the next generation, affordable communities where working families can build a life, and a government that treats people with dignity and respect.

This campaign has always been rooted in the same values that have guided me throughout my life: service, family, and community.

Thank you Cooper Township for an amazing weekend. We’ll keep knocking doors, listening to our neighbors, and working hard to earn every vote.

We’ll be launching from Parchment High School at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. Whether you’ve knocked hundreds of doors or have never canvassed before, we’ll have training available and get you ready to go.

Bring some water, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and a friend. Most importantly, come ready to meet neighbors, have good conversations, and spend a little time serving our community.

PARCHMENT IS READY FOR TAKEOFF--GET OUT THE VOTE LAUNCH

It’s time to Get Out the Vote and bring Integrity and Honor back to Lansing.

Join us in the City of Parchment on Thursday, October 1 at 3:00 p.m. for a joint community canvass with State Representative Julie Rogers’ State Senate campaign.

We’ll head into neighborhoods, talk with residents, share voting information, and help make sure people have a plan to vote this November.

What an incredible day Saturday turned out to be.

We were overwhelmed by the number of volunteers who showed up to spend their morning walking neighborhoods, talking with residents, and giving their time to our community. From WMU students to local leaders, longtime friends to people joining us for the very first time, it was a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together around a shared commitment to service.

A huge thank you to Leader Ranjeev Puri and the House Caucus for coming out, rallying the team, and helping make the day such a success. I’m grateful to every elected official, staff member, student, volunteer, and community member who joined us.

One of the things that meant the most to me was hearing from my own neighbors afterward about how kind, respectful, and professional our volunteers were at their doors. That matters. How we treat people matters.

Service. Family. Community. Those aren’t just words we put on a sign. They are values I’ve tried to live throughout my life, and they are the values I want reflected in everything our team does.

Thank you to everyone who gave a few hours of their Saturday to our community. I’m incredibly grateful for the energy, the conversations, and most of all, the people who made the day special.
