Hargett's Crossroads Vol. Fire Dept. This is a volunteer fire department located at the intersection on Hwy 41 & 258 in Jones County.

We provide fire protection and medical responder service to the citizens in our district in both Jones and Onslow County.

Today is one of our favorite days of the year—National Donut Day!

Whether you're fueling up for work, heading to the fire station, or just looking for a sweet treat, today is the perfect excuse to grab a donut (or a dozen)! 😋

The 5th Annual Firetrucks & Foxhounds Dog Hunt is quickly approaching, and we're still looking for a few more judges to help make this year's event a success!

As a thank you for volunteering your time, all judges will be entered into a special judges-only raffle for a chance to win a Garmin TT25 Collar!🎉

As our Annual Hunt quickly approaches, Hargetts Crossroads VFD is once again preparing for our Door Prize Raffle — and we need your help! 🐾

We are currently accepting donations of:
• Dog food
• Dog collars
• Field trial or hunting-related items
• Other raffle prize donations

If you would rather make a monetary donation, we gladly accept those as well and our members will purchase items for the raffle. Every donation helps make this event a success and allows us to give back to those who support our department year after year.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, dedication, and selfless service will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, let us also take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of this day and remember those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy each and every day.

As EMS Week comes to an end, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank all of the hardworking men and women in Emergency Medical Services — from volunteers to paid personnel — who dedicate their lives to helping others each and every day.

Today marks the final day of EMS Week, known as Remembrance Day. This day is set aside to honor and remember the EMS providers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, as well as those we have lost throughout the years. Their dedication, courage, and commitment to serving others will never be forgotten.

No matter the time of day or night, EMS providers are always ready to answer the call. They respond during people’s worst moments with professionalism, compassion, and care. From medical emergencies and traumatic accidents to everyday calls for help, these individuals work tirelessly to serve their communities while often sacrificing time with their own families.

We especially want to recognize the volunteer providers who give up their personal time to serve without hesitation, as well as the paid personnel who continue to work long hours under stressful conditions to make sure their communities are protected. It takes a special kind of person to do this job, and we are thankful for every single one of you.

EMS providers are more than just first responders — they are caregivers, problem solvers, teachers, and a calming presence during difficult situations. Their dedication and commitment often go unseen, but the impact they make on the lives of others is immeasurable.

From all of us at Hargetts Crossroads VFD, thank you for your service, your sacrifices, and your unwavering commitment to helping others. We appreciate all that you do not just during EMS Week, but every single day of the year. 🚑❤️
