The Town of Richlands invites the public to attend an informational meeting to review and discuss the Generator Project and the reasons for undertaking this project.

Public notice is hereby given that the Town of Richlands will hold a public informational meeting on Thursday, June 11, 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as practicable) and ending at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers at the Richlands Municipal Building, 200 Washington Square, Richlands, Virginia.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide an overview of the project and explain why the Town has chosen to proceed. A question-and-answer session will be included.This is the first in a series of three informational meetings concerning the Generator Project:
- The second meeting will cover the project timetable and key milestones and will be held on Thursday, June 25 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
- The third meeting will address the project budget and financing on a date and time to be set.

Meeting Format
- Brief overview of the Generator Project
- Public comments and questions
- Responses from Town staff and officials

Temporary Delay in Trash Collection

The Town of Richlands would like to notify residents of a temporary delay in scheduled trash collection services.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, trash pickup scheduled for Monday, June 8th will be delayed. All affected routes are expected to be serviced by the evening of June 8th.
Residents are asked to leave their trash containers at the curb until collection has been completed.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure all services are restored promptly.
