Answering the Call Beyond Our County LinesπŸ”₯

Two of our Bryan County Fire & Rescue firefighters have deployed to assist with wildfire response efforts in Brantley County, bringing along our 3,000-gallon tanker and joining the Richmond Hill engine crew on the front lines.

This Bryan County-based team is a shining example of what it means to be a good neighbor - stepping up when others are in need and working alongside fellow first responders to protect lives, property, and natural resources.

Their dedication, teamwork, and willingness to serve wherever they’re needed reflect the very best of the fire service. We are proud of their efforts and grateful for the strong partnerships that make this kind of emergency response possible.

❄️ WINTER WEATHER PREPAREDNESS UPDATE ❄️

In anticipation of the severe winter weather expected this weekend, the Bryan County Board of Commissioners has issued a local State of Emergency.

What does that mean for you?

This declaration helps the county:

Act quickly if conditions worsen, without unnecessary delays

Mobilize emergency resources and personnel faster

Coordinate more easily with state and regional partners if help is needed

Make sure we’re ready to respond to impacts like hazardous roads, power issues, or other emergencies

At this time, this is a proactive step to ensure Bryan County is prepared and able to respond efficiently if needed. It does not automatically mean closures or additional restrictions.

We encourage everyone to stay weather-aware, prepare now, and continue following updates through official county channels, local media, and weather alerts.

Your safety is our top priority. Stay safe, Bryan County. πŸ’™
