The same people who shrugged off 9 percent inflation as “transitory” are now acting as if 3 percent is a national emergency. The standard seems to change the moment the White House changes hands.
Working families are still paying the price for years of soaring grocery, housing, and fuel costs. A cooler headline number does not restore the purchasing power that was already lost.
Real relief comes from producing more energy, slashing needless regulation, and ending the spending that fueled the surge in the first place—not from selective outrage.
