🏡 National Night Out is all about bringing neighbors and Public Safety together, supporting volunteerism, and fostering neighborhood spirit. This year, we are thrilled to partner with the Neighbor-to-Neighbor grant program, which encourages community connections through the City of Richmond's recent grant award! 🙌

🎉 The city-wide block party will kick off with a fantastic celebration at the Santa Fe Neighborhood Council. Join us at Southside Park, South 6th & Virginia Ave, as we come together to strengthen our bonds and create lasting memories. 🎊

Your library has so many literacy programs for little ones!

Every week we have storytimes at the Main Library Mondays - Wednesdays, at Bayview Library on Mondays, and at West Side Library on Tuesdays! After each storytime you can stay and play or check out books from the library!

Check out our Read To A Dog program on Tuesday April 16 and Thursday April 18 from 3:30p-4:40p, provided in partnership with !

Saturday, April 13 we will have our Second Annual Richmond Literacy Festival at the City Hall Auditorium from 10a-2p. We will have book giveaways, free food, community resources, a performance by Cascada de Flores, and a local diverse Bay Area children's book author/illustrator panel discussion. All are invited to attend the festivities!

In this presidential and state election cycle, it is a challenge to determine if information read through databases, social media, books, television, and artificial intelligence is factual. This presentation will empower you to understand the difference, followed by opportunities for questions and answers.
