USDA Indiana announces $23.9 million for rural business projects. Complete applications may be submitted in paper or electronic format and must be received by 4:30 p.m. local time on February 28, 2025, in the USDA RD State Office for the State where the project is located.

This program is designed to provide technical assistance and training for small rural businesses.

The Town of Centerville, Indiana, celebrated their new Town Hall grand opening with an open house and ribbon-cutting on August 29, 2024. Town officials purchased the old US Bank building three years ago. This new facility will offer more space for conducting public business and offer a drive-thru window for residents to conveniently pay utility bills. Town Council president and EIRPC board member, Daniel Wandersee (photo center with scissors), was instrumental in seeing this project to completion.

Congratulations to Cambridge City on being awarded a $2.8M grant for water infrastructure improvements to support industrial growth in the region. The grant will provide services and equipment to increase water capacity in the Gateway Industrial Park, supporting business expansion and job creation. This EDA funding was made available through SIRPC's application, highlighting the importance of Regional Planning Commissions in local projects. See full news release here:

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $2.8 million grant to Cambridge City, Indiana, for water infrastructure improvements to support industrial growth in the region.

Union County, Indiana - EIRPC's 3rd Quarter Board of Directors will meet on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. Location is EL Reparo Mexican Restaurant, 9 N. Main Street, Liberty, IN. With the completion of this region's '23 SURP program, members will receive a presentation on how to apply this data for road improvements projects. Members are requested to RSVP.
