Hey Water customers- having trouble logging into the e-billing portal? 📩

We've become aware of a spam filter issue that is making logging into the e-billing portal difficult. If you are not getting your authorization key to log in the first time you request it, please add [email protected] to your email white list. This is the email address your bill notifications originate from and adding to your whitelist means that it will not get stuck in spam.

Requesting multiple codes will not work! Wait 30 minutes and try again after following these steps. Only request one key at a time per log in attempt, sometimes it takes a few minutes.

Attention Residents! Richmond Township Assessment Notices To Be Posted Online - Sign up for Email Alerts for Your Property’s Assessment

Assessment notices will be posted online for property owners in Richmond Township.
Property owners may access their assessment by visiting the McHenry County Property Tax Inquiry Portal at https://mchenryil.devnetwedge.com

Assessment notices on computers and tablets can be accessed by clicking the “Property Assessments Notice” link on the right-hand side of your property tax information. On smart phones, the Assessments tab can be found by clicking the three-line hamburger” icon in the upper right-hand corner.

Please note that your assessment notice is not a property tax bill – your 2026 assessment is used to determine the taxable value of your home for property taxes due next year. The notice also includes information on your existing exemptions, and it lists other available exemptions.

Richmond Township property owners will have a 30-day period from the July 7 date of publication to file an appeal with the McHenry County Board of Review, ending at midnight on Thursday, Aug. 6. You can file an appeal request by visiting the McHenry
County Assessments webpage.

This year and going forward, McHenry County properties that are only adjusted by their equalization factor *will no longer receive a mailed copy of their assessment.* The Assessments Office will still mail physical notices for re-evaluations, farmland, and new properties. The County Board made the switch to online assessment notices to save taxpayers more than $65,000 a year in postage costs.

Property owners are encouraged to visit the Assessments Office website to sign up for email alerts and text messages when assessment notices for your township are published.

Richmond Ace Hardware donated paint needed for volunteers to cover graffiti by the Nippersink Creek this weekend. Along with painting- volunteers cleaned up garbage and debris from the area.

Together we can keep Richmond looking beautiful. If you see something, say something! The police non-emergency dispatch number is always available (815-338-2144) to phone a concern.

Temporary Parking Ban - Country Thunder
(Wednesday, July 15th - Monday, July 20th)
For Public Safety and Emergency response, the Richmond Police Department has ordered a temporary ban on street parking for the days concurrent with Country Thunder – July 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20.

The subdivisions affected are Pheasant Ridge and Sunset Ridge, and Hillview Subdivision (May Avenue) as well as all of Commercial St. Parking on the street is prohibited and will be strictly enforced with tickets issued in the amount of $75.00 per vehicle, and/or vehicles towed at the owner’s expense.

Any resident holding a function where additional street parking is necessary, after utilizing driveway parking, must obtain a parking pass, which are available at the Village of Richmond Village Hall or Richmond Police Department (5600 Hunter Drive, Richmond IL 60071) or can be downloaded online HERE: https://go.citygrows.com/financeclerk/parking-permit

With Governor JB Pritzker expected to sign new statewide legislation, parents and guardians should think twice before purchasing high-powered e-bikes or e-scooters for children under age 15.

Under the new law, riders of class 1 e-Bikes must be at least 15 years old. Riders of class 2 & 3 e-Bikes must be 16 years old unless accompanied by an adult, and riders of e-Scooters must be 16 years old unless accompanied by an adult.
