We have received several inquiries about data center development in Chesterfield. For that reason, we are sharing information about Google’s upcoming community meetings, which will provide county residents with opportunities to receive accurate information about its planned data center projects directly from company representatives.

The open house-style meetings will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the following dates:

• Wednesday, July 15 at Hamel Hall, Room H109, on the Midlothian campus of Brightpoint Community College, 800 Charter Colony Parkway Hall.

• Thursday, July 16 at Cosby High School, 14300 Fox Club Parkway.

At each meeting, you can review project plans, learn more about infrastructure and sustainability initiatives, and get answers to your questions from subject matter experts.

Representatives from Google will be there to address key topics, including water usage, power, sound, community benefits, and more.

Stop by at your convenience anytime during the scheduled hours. For those who are unable to attend, information will be made available on Google’s project website following the events.

Chesterfield County has determined that, due to extreme heat and increasing potential for storms, it is unsafe to the public, staff, members of public safety, performers, and vendors to move forward with the annual Fourth of July Celebration, scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026. We wish the community a safe and happy Fourth of July and hope to see you at one of our many other 2026 events.
