Good things are growing in the community garden at the 17th
Street Farmers' Market in historic Shockoe Bottom! A huge thank-you goes out to St. Paul's Episcopal Church for adopting the garden this fall. They were very busy here last weekend, and have planted a wonderful crop of fall veggies!

There's been a lot of interest from the community about this garden, and help is always welcome. Please contact Rev Melanie Mullen at St. Paul's (804-643-3589) for more info on volunteering at the Shockoe Community Garden.

The Shockoe Community Garden is coming along quite nicely at the 17th Street Farmers' Market in historic Shockoe Bottom! We've incorporated the three sisters planting method (corn, squash and beans grown in the same pot) in several of our new artistic containers. We're even trying our hand at some kiwi!
