How exciting would it be to have an Amphitheater that overlooks the James River!? Well, plans have been announce for just that, with the goals of opening doors in Spring of 2024. This is an opportunity to bring more to the community not only use for concert events, but community-based activities and even annual festivals!
2.
Have you heard about the 'Mending Walls' Project started by Hamilton Glass? In 2020 - 2021, this project spoke to many people not only in Richmond but across the country. In collaboration with 20 other artist, 16 murals were spread across Richmond with the goal of creating opportunities for deep and authentic conversations about race, social justice, and equity throughout the city. This year, Glass is collaborating with 5 other artists on 'Mending Walls' 2022 to create a mural on a 500-foot wall at Richmond Hill titled, 'Transcending Walls'!

Safer riding for bike-riders of Richmond!
Per a release from the Richmond Department of Public Works, of the 61 miles of bike lanes maintained by the city, 23 lane miles are physically separated from the rest of the road by flex-posts or floating parking to provide bikers with a greater degree of separation from cars. However, due to these blockage, the usually street-sweeping machines are unable to reach the bike lanes.. so a solution is now in place with a mini street sweeping machine! Riders are sure to benefit from the positive impact it will have on their safety!
Happy Monday all!
