UREMS is a group of dedicated undergraduate student EMTs who respond to 911 medical calls 24/7 and provide standby coverage for large events during the academic year on the University of Richmond campus. University of Richmond Emergency Medical Services (UREMS) is a student-run organization that provides volunteer first response to 911 calls for medical assistance on the University of Richmond cam
pus. All UREMS providers are Virginia certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT-Bs), and participate in additional preception and training with Richmond Ambulance Authority. UREMS is dispatched by University of Richmond Police Department (URPD) and Richmond Ambulance Authority (RAA). In addition to responding to 911 medical calls, UREMS provides EMS coverage at all home football games at Robins Stadium, and at Relay for Life. UREMS members also host alcohol safety awareness events for the University community, participate in continuing education training, are involved in risk management services for the Weinstein Center for Recreation and Wellness, and attend the National Collegiate EMS Foundation Conference. Remember: in case of emergency on campus dial (804) 289-8911 from a cell phone or 911 from a campus phone to reach the UR police emergency line.
