I can't thank this gentleman enough! He spends a lot of time at the Overlook, and it's things like this that make me realize how much people enjoy it there!

I often catch myself grumbling as I'm walking and picking up trash, but I know that the majority of our visitors are respectful and appreciate the view, so to see him doing this is humbling to me.

Below is copied from Tommy Young , with his before and after pictures. Please know how much I appreciate you.

"I had some time on my hands today and I remembered the last time I went down to the Clays Ferry Overlook to do some thinking. it had a lot of trash on the hill side. So I went down there today and asked for Permission to cross the rock wall and started cleaning. Two hours and 10 bags of trash later I had as much as I could cleaned up. It felt nice doing it. I have called this place home almost my whole life. I just don’t know why people would want to trash such a beautiful place. I can say I am wore out climbing up and down that hillside will give ya a work out. Here are some before and after pics."
