Richmond Middle School is excited to announce that Lacy Vassmer has been named the next Middle School Volleyball Assistant Coach!

Lacy brings 12 years of experience in education and a passion for helping students grow, learn, and achieve their highest potential. She finds great joy in watching students gain confidence, reach their goals, and develop both in and out of the classroom.

✨ Spartan Spotlight – May Winner ✨

Congratulations to our May Spartan Spotlight winner, Melissa Waisner! ❤️🖤

Melissa is the definition of a selfless educator. She goes above and beyond every single day to support her students, her coworkers, and our entire school community. Whether she is helping students work through challenges, supporting fellow teachers, or simply being a caring presence for everyone around her, Melissa leads with compassion and heart.

Those who work alongside her describe her as someone who truly sees every child and meets them where they are academically, emotionally, and behaviorally. Her patience, creativity, and ability to build meaningful relationships make a lasting impact on students every day. In her self-contained classroom, no two days are ever the same, yet Melissa handles every situation with grace, positivity, and unwavering dedication.

One colleague shared:
“Miss Waisner embodies the heart of what it means to be an exceptional educator and team member. She consistently goes the extra mile, builds meaningful relationships with vulnerable students, and creates a classroom environment where every child feels valued.”

Melissa spends so much of her time focused on helping others, and we are proud to shine the spotlight on someone so deserving. Thank you, Melissa, for the incredible difference you make in the lives of our students and staff every day!

Update to Junior High football camp. We had to make a couple changes. Instead of camp on Wednesday we moved it to Tuesday and had to push back the time.

Above our heads, the memories stay,
In colors, names, and art on display.

Now one more tile joins up above,
Signed with pride, with hope, with love.
The Class of 2030 leaves their mark,
A bright new light, a lasting spark.

Mrs. Maddux you shaped this school, this special place.
Your mark remains in all we do,
In every hall, in every view.

Though chapters close and goodbyes start,
You’ll always be a part of our heart.
Look up and see what you helped create—
A ceiling of memories… truly great. ✨
