Fort Bend County Homeland Security & Emergency Management (FBC HS&EM) and Fort Bend County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) have created an electronic Tier II submission link to submit the required Tier II reports. You will no longer have to mail your Tier II reports to Fort Bend County Homeland Security & Emergency Management or the Fort Bend County Local Emergency Planning Committee.

Tier II Reporting By authority given it by the SARA Title III legislation, Fort Bend County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) requires that a copy of Tier II data that is submitted to the TCEQ online Reporting system (STEERS), also be submitted annually to the LEPC by March 1st of each year.

Fort Bend County and our partners are continuously improving our regional Hazmat response by adding new equipment and vehicles for deployment. This newly purchased vehicle was funded by the Federal Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) grant through Fort Bend County Homeland Security & Emergency Management in partnership with the Fort Bend County Fire Marshal's Office and Pecan Grove Fire Department. We all strive to improve our response to help all citizens in Fort Bend County and surrounding areas. Great job, Team!

With a lot of collaboration, Pecan Grove Volunteer Fire Department is now the owner of a brand new pickup truck. This vehicle will be utilized to transport the Decon Trailer for Hazmat Response. All of it was made possible with funding from the UASI Grant.

It has been a true pleasure working with Fort Bend County Office of Emergency Management to accomplish this task.

Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPCs) work to understand chemical hazards in the community, develop emergency plans in case of an accidental release, and look for ways to prevent chemical accidents.
