Red Line Ministry Where we come together "HIGH WINDING OUR HEARTS FOR JESUS CHRIST"

Numbers 13:25-33 While everyone else was complaining, only 2 had faith and refused to settle for anything less than what God had promised. The Israelites spent 40 yrs in the wilderness because instead of looking at what they had, they were complaining about what they still wanted. In her book, One In A Million, Priscilla Shirer says “It takes faith to look at an obstacle that is deeper than any courage you can conjure up, yet be assured that God’s power is more than enough to move it out of the way” . Many believers have become satisfied with mediocrity. We have a chance to be one-in-a-million who dares to believe what God has already promised and march forward confident that God will lead the way and provide every need along the way.

1 Timothy 3:1-5 – in this passage all of mankind (men and women) are told that “in the last days things will be difficult” and we are warned to “avoid such men as this”. Our culture has become so selfish that we have the RIGHT to have anything we WANT, not just needs. Our society (including many churches) have bought into this Burger King entitlement attitude of “HAVE IT YOUR WAY”. Is it surprising that marriage, family values and anything related to God is under attack? Who among us is willing set selfishness aside and take a stand for what is truly important?

2 Corinthians 5:16-21 We need to stop being part-time Christians. He is a full-time Savior!

In 1 Thes 5:12-15 Paul discusses how pastors are to serve and how the people are treat the paster and one another. The congregation is charged to genuinely love their pastor and to know their pastor well enough to have a deep appreciation and strong respect for their servanthood in 1) working to the point of exhaustion 2) leading the flock in the way of righteousness and 3) instructing in Biblical Truths. The congregation is also to live in unity with one another, to exhort one another, and to hold one another accountable for their walk with the Lord.

Mathew 6:19-25. This verse is not just daying that God competes with money. There is constant spiritual battle that goes on within our hearts. We worry. We allow other thoughts, traditions, possessions, jobs, people, etc. get between us and our relationship with God. Take time today to be still and know that He is God and focus on the true awesomeness of His presence in our lives. Whenever yo ufocus fully on Him, worry will fade away.

1 Thes 4:6-8 We there is discord in the church, we think we are only hurting other people but ultimately we are hurting God and worse, hurting the advancement of His kingdom. We need to be a better example of the Gospel.

Matthew 19:16-22 The one thing this gentleman held on to was the one thing that stood in the way and his relatinship with God. We all have something that God is urging us to let go of so we can have a full relationship with Him. We need to examine ourselves carefully and make the decision whether to continually live our lives our way (leading to a life of emptyness) or to let go of the thing(s) that stand between us and God's way for our lives (leading to a life of joy and completness).

1 John 2:19 We so often hear about or individuals walking away from churches or even churches splitting, each time sighting a number of different excuses. 90-95% of the time, those excuses involve people not getting THEIR way. When we walk away from church because of our preferences, it is time to do a self-evaluation. We are by nature selfish people, but 2 things define our Christian faith: 1) perseverance in seeking God’s wisdom as the church moves forward and 2) Life is NOT ABOUT ME. He is God, and we are not. We must LOVE GOD! LOVE PEOPLE! PROVE IT!

James 1:27 who are the orphans and widows? I believe that James is speaking not only about the traditional definition of these terms but to our society in which children do not have parents who are believers who are raising them by biblical standards and to women who do not have a Godly, spiritual leader in their homes. That makes them spiritual orphans and spiritual widows. As Christ Followers, we are called to minister to them and meet not only their physical needs but also show them the love of Jesus who is the true loving Father.

Thought for the day: Prov 22:1-21 - We train our children in so many ways but are we really teaching htem to be wise in all desicions of this life? What we teach by our attitude and actions the scriptures are plain THEY WILL NOT TURN AWAY WHEN THEY GET OLD. SOurround yourself and your children with GODLY people that help you (and them) draw closer to God so you won't turn away and to prepare yourself to be looked upon as someone that is WISE and to be looked up to by others.
