Wayne County 4-H - let's stock the trailer, fight hunger, and make the best better!
πŸ’ͺWe will be participating in Farm Credit Mid-America's Stock the Trailer program, where we compete against surrounding counties to see which one can collect the most non-perishable food items by weight.
πŸ’šAll food items that we collect will be donated to the Nettle Creek Community Coalition Food Pantry, which serves an average of 100 families from Nettle Creek and Western Wayne each Friday they are open. They are in great need of donations to continue to serve our communities at this volume.
πŸ€Wayne County 4-H’ers are tasked with bringing at least one item to each of the following events that they are participating in: Project Drop Off, Project Judging, Animal Check-In, Animal Shows, Battle of the Barns. The more the merrier!

At Franklin Fliers' club meeting in May, their conversation topic was "Fair Week Survival & Prep". πŸ€ They had four stations for members to team up and rotate through.
Station 1: Fair Week Packing & Prep - Help 4-H'ers think through what they need to bring, prepare, and remember before fair week so they are not rushed, missing items, or unprepared.
Station 2: Fair Week Schedule Challenge - Teach 4-H'ers how to read a fair schedule, plan ahead, arrive early, and ask for help when there are problems.
Station 3: Winning, Losing & Good Sportsmanship - Help 4-H'ers understand how to handle winning, losing, disappointment, judging feedback, and supporting other members during fair week.
Station 4: Ribbon Color Match-Up Challenge - Teach 4-H'ers about ribbons and why the handbook matters.
Thank you Volunteers for putting together such a helpful meeting! πŸ’š
