This year’s Fire Prevention Week is underway! 🔥

“Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape.” is the theme. Our goal is to focus on community risk reduction and make contact as many people as possible to promote the message.

RFD firefighters will be out in the community every day of Fire Prevention Week from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to spread the word. They will be handing out fire prevention materials and fun items for the younger residents. Below is the schedule for the rest of the week:

1. Tuesday, October 11 – The Market at 25th (1330 North 25th Street)
2. Wednesday, October 12 – TBA
3. Thursday, October 13 – Publix Super Market at Carytown Exchange (3535 Ellwood Avenue)
4. Friday, October 14 – Trader Joe’s (3000 Stony Point Road)
5. Saturday, October 15 – Big Apple Supermarket (2916 Richmond Highway)

RFD encourages all members of the community to stop by these events!
