Open Every Day, Dawn-Dusk There are unique plant collections, rock and fossil collections and miles of hiking and running paths. Other features found on this property include 3%

of Indiana’s old growth forest, many acres of reforested woods, an 1833 dairy barn that acts as our Nature Center, the Hayes Museum, Adena and Hopewell Indian mounds, ponds, fields, and wetlands. Hayes Arboretum is open free of charge to the public. There are many reasons to come and visit, bring your friends and family and enjoy the day with us.

Help us thank Seton Catholic School for their continued support of Hayes Arboretum 👏

Students cleaned the Nature Playscape, cleared sticks from the lawn areas, and removed over 200 gallons worth of invasive plants from our forests. Very impressive!

Would you still love me if I was a caterpillar? 🐛

How cute is this face? This Luna Moth Caterpillar is just over a week old, surviving on Sweetgum leaves. In a few short weeks, this larva will create a cocoon, before emerging as the iconic Luna Moth. As an adult, it will live a very short life, only about 10 days.

Join us for our 5th monthly Gratitude Walk as we continue building a community rooted in discipline, perspective, and gratitude.

A gratitude walk is intentional movement with an intentional mindset.
We walk without music or distractions and focus on mentally listing things we’re grateful for, past, present, and even future.

It’s about resetting perspective, grounding yourself, and recognizing blessings even in the middle of life’s challenges.

Everyone is welcome.
No sign-up required, just show up and walk with purpose.

We will meet on east side parking area across from the fire station.

Happy Arbor Day 🌳

We personally think every day is a good day to appreciate a tree, but today is a bit more special as we recognize just how important trees are to our every day lives.

If you would like to add another tree to your life, please visit our booth at the Family EARTH DAY Celebration at Earlham College tomorrow (Saturday) from 10-2pm. Every household can choose one of the four free trees below (while supplies last).
