Fort Bend Women's Center, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, provides services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children.

Our mission is to assist and empower ALL survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children to achieve safety and self-sufficiency, while striving to prevent violence against women. Services include Emergency Shelter, counseling and neurofeedback training, employment and education assistance, childcare, housing assistance and other support services. All services are free and confidential.

Fort Bend Women’s Center staff and Board members joined our partners at PCCA to celebrate the life and legacy of Dave Sparks.

As family, friends, and colleagues shared their memories, one message resonated throughout the gathering:

Dave lived a life dedicated to serving others. His generosity, leadership, and compassion touched countless lives and left a lasting imprint on our community.

Dave was a devoted supporter of Fort Bend Women’s Center, giving generously of his time, talents, and resources. His belief in our mission helped strengthen our organization and expand the support available to survivors and their families.

Through his unwavering support and deep commitment to helping others, thousands of lives have been saved, strengthened, and rebuilt. We are deeply grateful for Dave’s friendship, generosity, and commitment to making our community stronger. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the organizations he championed, and the hope he helped create for so many.

We are so grateful to Sartartia Middle School and the amazing 6th grade students who joined us for their Day to Serve with FBWC.

The students learned about our mission and the importance of promoting awareness around respectful relationships. They then helped us bring that message to life by decorating denim pieces that will be displayed to help spark community conversations and raise awareness.

We are truly thankful for these young volunteers who showed up with creativity, kindness, and enthusiasm. A special thank you as well to the dedicated staff and volunteer parents who supported and guided the students throughout the day.

Partnerships like this remind us that change starts early—and grows stronger together.

🎙️ Thank you to the team for featuring Josh Brown, CEO of Fort Bend Women’s Center, on KRBE Around Houston hosted by Maureen Cooper for an important recap of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

During the interview, Josh spoke about the importance of education, prevention, survivor support, and continuing the conversation beyond just one month of awareness. Awareness is only the beginning — action, advocacy, and support must continue every day.
