The Richmond Historic Preservation Commission is scheduled to meet Monday, Sept. 9, 5:30pm for the monthly meeting in the City Building Council Chambers (3rd floor). This meeting is open to the public. On the agenda is the request from a petitioner for a COA for demolition of a property at 1828 E. Main St., Richmond.

At our next meeting on September 9 at 5:30 p.m. in the City's Council Chambers, the HPC will hear a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) request for the demolition of the house located at 1828 East Main St. This property is located in the Linden Hill Conservation District. There will be a public hearing before members of the HPC vote either to issue or deny issuing the COA.

At our next meeting on August 12 at 5:30 p.m., the HPC will hear a Certificate of Appropriateness (CoA) for the demolition of structures located at 1002 North E Street. This property is known as the Former Mechanics Laundry and is located in the Depot Conservation District. There will be a public hearing before members of the HPC vote either to issue or deny issuing the COA.

Richmond's Historic Preservation Commission reviews requests for demolition and new construction within a designated Conservation District.
