Meet Big Sarg, the baby seal rescued as part of a group effort by Golden Gate Bridge Patrol and The Marine Mammal Center. On Saturday morning, Bridge Patrol Officer Singh noticed a baby seal looking malnourished and unwell by the wave wall at the south end of the Golden Gate Bridge. The Sergeant’s Office notified the Marine Mammal Center, who worked with Bridge Patrol to rescue the seal pup and bring him to their facilities to safely recuperate. As a thank you to Bridge Patrol for their assistance with the rescue, the Officers were given the privelege of naming him. Big Sarg is now safe and sound and recovering well!
