It is truly an engineering marvel, a structure of magnificence, grace, and beauty. A true American Icon with a rich history. The event recognized the years of advocacy and bold leadership that led to the completion of this life saving project.

It’s been a week since Fleet Week came to SF. Behind the scenes the Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District participated in a disaster preparedness exercise where we transported over 30 disaster service workers on our buses and ferries. It was a huge success and we are grateful for the partnership of local agencies who trained with us to keep our community safe while you enjoyed the show. @chpgoldengate @sfpdofficial Until next year #sffleetweek 🛩️ 🌁 🚌 ⛴️
