We are keeping an eye on the weather. Currently only a 25% chance of showers in the early early morning but Mostly Sunny for the hours of Chalkfest!

Downtown Chalkfest is this Saturday, September 5th from 9AM to Noon at Jack Elstro Plaza during the Richmond Farmers Market!

Chalkfest is FREE to enter and includes free chalk for all participants, with each division winner receiving a cash prize, along with a prize for Best in Show!

The mystery theme will be announced on the day of the event with sign-ups being available on a first come, first serve basis. Registration will run from 9:00am-9:30am.

Artwork must be completed by 11:30am for judging with the winners announced at Noon.

Main Street Richmond Hometown Hustle 5K he's coming up on September 19, 2026!

Lace up your shoes and soak in the beauty of autumn in Richmond! The Hometown Hustle 5K is more than just a run — it’s a chance to enjoy crisp fall air, golden leaves, and the scenic run on the Cardinal Greenway. This event welcomes runners and walkers of all levels.

Where: Start/Finish at the Veterans Memorial Park, by the Cardinal Greenway. Additional parking available at 50 S. 2nd Street.

DATE: Saturday, September 19, 2026 (Rain or Shine)

LOCATION: Veterans Memorial Park

TIME: Registration begins @ 8:00 A.M. | Run/Walk begins @ 9:00 A.M.

PRICE: $20 per person pre-registration | $25 per person day of event
