Helping Our Neighbors Rebuild ❤️

The City of Richmond would like to thank everyone who has stepped up to help our neighbors affected by the recent storms. Your generosity has been incredible.

At this time, our local shelters are overflowing with clothing and food, so the greatest need is beginning to change.

The Wayne County Cares Fund https://www.facebook.com/waynecocares/ is the best way to provide assistance right now. Cash donations will go directly to local residents affected by the storms and will help meet the needs that come next—especially as families return home and begin purchasing the items they need to rebuild their lives.

Thank you, Richmond, for coming together, caring for one another, and showing what a strong community can do. ❤️

Rose View Transit and Paratransit would like to inform our passengers that our buses are in operation as of Thursday, August 13th at 12:00 PM.
However, due to the I-70 detour diverting traffic through Richmond, expect service delays.

Please be sure to check both KICKS 96 and 101.1 radio stations and the City of Richmond's page for information on future closings or schedule changes.

⚠️ TRAVEL ALERT – WATERFALL ROAD ⚠️

The City of Richmond is asking residents to STEER CLEAR OF WATERFALL ROAD due to excessive flooding and significant amounts of running water and debris.

🌊 Conditions are dangerous and may change quickly. Do not attempt to drive through flooded areas.

Please avoid the area and use an alternate route until conditions improve.

Due to extreme flooding the Municipal Building at 50 N 5th Street will be closed to the public today until noon.

Please do not travel unless absolutely necessary. Your safety is our priority. Avoid flooded roadways and follow local and emergency closure advisories.

Due to current conditions The landfill will be closed to the public on Thursday, August 13th.

📌Trash and recycling collection scheduled for Thursday, Will be moved to Monday, August 17th
