We are proud to announce that Madison County EMS has officially earned accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS). Our plaque has arrived, and we will display it proudly.

CAAS accreditation is recognized as the “gold standard” in EMS, awarded only to agencies that meet the highest levels of clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and community accountability. This achievement reflects our team’s commitment to providing safe, compassionate, and reliable care to the citizens we serve.

Why does this matter?
✅ Independent verification that our service meets national best practices.
✅ Assurance to our community that patient care and safety come first.
✅ Recognition of our team’s professionalism, dedication, and hard work.

This milestone is not just about Madison County EMS—it’s about the people we serve. Accreditation ensures that every call, every patient, and every response is backed by a system dedicated to continuous improvement and excellence.

👏 Thank you to our incredible providers, staff, and community partners who made this possible. Together, we are raising the bar for EMS in Madison County and beyond.

Madison County EMS had to cancel our board meeting today due to illness. Everyone will recoup and meet again in October! We want to thank everyone for your continued support! We will have more updates soon on the multiple ways we are working to serve our community!

09/11/2025

Today, we pause to honor and remember the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the resilience of our nation following the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

As first responders, we carry the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice that day, and we stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters across the country who continue to serve their communities with courage and dedication.

We want to acknowledge that our flagpole is currently not functioning properly, and we are unable to lower our flag to half-staff as tradition and honor dictate. Please know that we have already arranged for repairs, and the issue will be resolved soon.

Though our flag may not fly at half-staff today, our hearts, thoughts, and remembrance remain steadfast. We will never forget.

We want to thank the members of the Madison County Fiscal Court for allowing us to speak at the meeting this morning to set the tax rates for the coming year. During that meeting we were able to update the fiscal court on some of the projects that we have been working on at Madison County EMS over the past few years. We thought it would be a good time to share some of these points with the public!

In 2024, Madison County EMS answered nearly 20,500 calls for service and participated in 381 community events, from Hands-Only CPR classes to Touch-a-Truck and local race standbys. We’re not just responding to emergencies—we’re investing in our community every day.

✨ Education & Workforce
We’re building the future of EMS right here at home—offering EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic courses that create affordable career pathways while ensuring Madison County is fully staffed with skilled professionals.

🤝 Partnerships
Working side by side with local fire departments and police, including introducing Madison County’s first Police Paramedic, we’re strengthening the safety net for our citizens. (The Police Paramedic is a new development, and there will be more information on this in the coming weeks!)

🩸 Innovation in Care
We’re proud to be among just 1% of EMS agencies nationwide providing Whole Blood transfusions in the field—a program that saves lives when minutes matter most.

🏅 National Accreditation
This year, Madison County EMS successfully earned CAAS Accreditation for the third time, joining only 2% of EMS agencies in the nation to achieve this gold standard of excellence. (We will have a post in the next few days explaining what this accreditation means for the citizens of Madison County!)

🚑 Investing in the Future
With six new ambulances coming online and upgraded equipment across our fleet, we are committed to safety, innovation, and exceptional care.

From daily emergency response to cutting-edge programs, Madison County EMS is proud to stand as one of the premier EMS agencies in the United States—serving YOU with excellence every day.
