Did you know the United States Space Force plays a role in tracking hurricanes and extreme weather? 🌪️🛰️

Guardians launched the Weather System Follow-on – Microwave (WSF-M) satellite, which helps monitor tropical storms, high winds, snow depth ❄️, and even soil moisture 🌱. That data supports military operations and helps agencies respond faster when emergencies happen 🚨

Last summer, the National Hurricane Center even used WSF-M data to improve hurricane forecasts 📊
