Calling all high school teachers!

Harvard's Opportunity Insights is forming its first-ever nationwide teacher cohort, and Georgia teachers have a unique opportunity to be part of it through a partnership with the Georgia Council on Economic Education.

You'll join 20 teachers from across the country to explore how OI's big-data research on economic mobility can come alive in your classroom through lessons, activities, and cross-curricular projects.
Here's what you get:
- 4 days at Harvard (July 20-23, 2026) — all expenses paid
- $2,500 stipend upon completion
- Likely all-expenses-paid return trip in summer 2027

This is built for teachers in Economics, Civics, Social Studies, Statistics, and Data Science — but all subjects are welcome.
Deadline: April 6, 2026

Can economics help solve some of the world’s biggest challenges? 🌎📊

From climate change to energy policy, economic thinking plays a powerful role in shaping a more sustainable future. Understanding incentives, tradeoffs, and policy design helps students become informed decision-makers and problem-solvers in a rapidly changing world.

We love sharing real-world examples that show how economics goes beyond the classroom and into global impact.

🎥 Watch this 90-second overview from Stanford’s Institute for Economic Policy Research to see how economists are using data and policy tools to tackle climate change.
