Abigail Spanberger’s energy “plan” proves that Virginia Democrats are totally unserious about lowering costs.

Spanberger wants to force families to pay $127 BILLION more because she refuses to repeal RGGI & VCEA.

This is a direct carbon tax on families, plain and simple.

The fuel excise tax in Virginia is 32.6 cents per gallon.

Virginia Republicans have consistently and repeatedly called for a gas tax holiday to immediately deliver relief at the pump.

Democrats said NO.

The next time you fill up, just remember that you could be paying 32.6 cents less per gallon, but Democrats are demanding their pound of flesh.

Then, they were 100 days late on a budget that delivered ZERO relief for working families.

Virginia Republicans have multiple proposals on the table to deliver on affordability - including lowering power bills and passing a gas tax holiday.

Today, we remember the horrific attacks of October 7, 2023 against Israel and the Jewish people.

The Virginia Senate Republican Caucus stands strong against anti-Semitism and all hatred and bigotry.

Hamas terrorists murdered more than 1,100 innocent men, women, and children, and took hundreds more hostage, including American citizens.

We must not forget this horrific atrocity or the evil ideologies behind it.

Abigail Spanberger is trying to pull a fast one on Virginians by claiming her energy plan is “cheaper.”

She’s hoping no one will look and see that claim depends on a $285 billion “social cost of carbon” that never shows up on anyone’s energy bill.

Cheaper means taking Virginia OUT of RGGI and repealing the VCEA mandate.

Someone should remind the Governor that forcing Virginians to pay $127 billion more to satisfy the environmental lobby isn’t “cheaper.”

🚨Abigail Spanberger unveiled her energy plan today… spoiler alert: it’s TERRIBLE. Here’s the rundown:

➡️The plan acknowledges that removing Virginia from RGGI, repealing VCEA, & ending the mandates would save ratepayers $127 BILLION

➡️The plan invents a totally bogus “social cost of carbon” statistic to make it look less expensive than it really is.

➡️Up to 277,000 acres of farms and forests will be converted to big, ugly solar arrays.

➡️The plan admits that Virginia must import 30 PERCENT of its energy from other states if it is implemented, adding even more costs for ratepayers.

➡️Under this plan, the projected average residential electricity bill will be $274/month by 2039.

BOTTOM LINE: Spanberger & Democrats’ plan will result in YOUR FAMILY paying more, not less.

This is not an “affordability” plan. It’s Virginia’s very own version of the Green New Scam that will make electricity - and everything else - more expensive.
