FEMA Individual Assistance is now available, and we encourage affected households to review the information below, apply as soon as possible, and keep documentation of damages and expenses.

We are grateful to the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce for helping us celebrate our new UWWV office with yesterday’s ribbon cutting!

A special thank you to Richmond Mayor Ron Oler for taking time out of his busy schedule to stop by and celebrate with us. We were also honored to welcome several of our generous donors, community partners, and representatives from local organizations. Your continued support of United Way of Whitewater Valley and our work in the community means so much to us.

We are excited to welcome the community to our new home at 800 Mendelson Drive in Richmond, Indiana, and we look forward to all that is ahead for United Way of Whitewater Valley!

United Way of Whitewater Valley is pleased to announce Katie Wayt as its new Executive Director, effective August 3, 2026.

Wayt joins United Way with nearly a decade of leadership experience in program development, organizational operations, and partnership building. As Executive Director, Wayt will lead United Way's efforts, strengthening partnerships, expanding local philanthropy, and bringing together people and resources to address pressing needs throughout Wayne and Union counties.

The Board for United Way of Whitewater Valley announced a new grantee for its 2026/2027 grant year. Nettle Creek Community Coalition was awarded $15,000 toward purchase of a new community van that will reduce food insecurity in rural areas of western Wayne County, strengthen the safety net, and improve community resiliency. A check was presented to the Coalition on June 30.
