This hard drive put up a little fight on the way in.

At Tech For Troops, physical hard drive shredding is one of the secure data destruction options we provide for businesses, organizations and individuals retiring old technology.

Once it goes through the shredder, that data isn’t coming back.

Protect your sensitive information while helping support Veterans through technology, training and opportunity.

Special delivery for Tech For Troops!

President and CEO Mark Casper is unboxing a shipment of Apple iMacs, Magic Keyboards, and accessories generously donated by OMNICOMMANDER.

The shipment follows Mark’s recent visit to Nashville, where OMNICOMMANDER founder and CEO Eric Isham sat down with him for an upcoming episode of the Treehouse Talks podcast. Their conversation covered the Tech For Troops mission, Veteran transition, leadership, and creating lasting opportunities for Veterans.

These computers will now help us continue putting technology to work for Veterans and their families.

A big thank you to Eric and the entire OMNICOMMANDER team for supporting our mission. Stay tuned for Mark’s upcoming Treehouse Talks interview!

Earlier this week, Tech For Troops had the pleasure of welcoming Luke Thomas from Leidos for a visit to our Richmond headquarters.

George Gagnon gave Luke a tour of our facility and shared a closer look at the work happening every day to support Veterans through technology, training, and opportunity.

We always appreciate the chance to connect with people and organizations who take an interest in our mission. Thank you, Luke, for spending some time with us and for reaching out afterward. We enjoyed having you at Tech For Troops!

What does nearly 30 years of technological change look like?

Sometimes, it arrives at Tech For Troops inside a donation box.

Our new Warehouse Support team member, David, recently came across this 1997 Hitachi VM-E535LA Rapid Reflex 8mm video camcorder while going through donated technology.

This camera comes from one of the final generations of mainstream analog 8mm home video cameras. While digital video was beginning to emerge in the mid-1990s, this Hitachi still recorded video to analog tape. Within just a few years, digital recording would become the new standard.

Technology moves fast. What was once cutting-edge equipment can quickly become a snapshot of another era.

And you never know what interesting piece of tech is going to come through our doors next.

Mark’s birthday may have come and gone, but he’ll always have a special memory from FIFA to look back on! 🎉⚽

Tech For Troops Director of Operations Darryl Crewe presented President and CEO Mark Casper with an official Nike USMNT 2026 Stadium Away jersey from the entire Tech For Troops team. It was a thoughtful gift and a lasting reminder of the team’s appreciation.

Thank you, Mark, for your leadership, dedication, and continued commitment to serving Veterans and their families.

It’s Meatball Monday at Tech For Troops! 🍝

Director of Education Marc Weyrick is putting the Italian-style meatballs to the test, loaded up with plenty of extra garlic.
Based on that look, we’d say they passed. 😄

A little good food to keep the team fueled and ready for the week ahead.

A little game time inside the Game Corps Bunker. 🎮🏎️

VIBE class participants recently got the chance to step into the Bunker at Tech For Troops and experience two very different ways to play, from the stand-up arcade to getting behind the wheel of the racing simulator.

The Game Corps Bunker is about more than gaming. It’s a place where Veterans can experience technology, have some fun, and connect with others along the way.

It was great having our VIBE participants get a chance to experience another side of Tech For Troops.
