From the Treasurer (720th MP Reunion Assn.)
Greetings,
I would like to give the members information about the 720th MP Reunion which is coming together and
will be held November 10th-11th & 12th at the Crowne Plaza Crystal City in Arlington, VA. (The same
venue as the 2018 Reunion). We will commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the 720th MP Battalion & the
40th Anniversary of the D.C. Vietnam Memorial.
We have set aside 40 Rooms for this event. To date, 25 rooms have been booked. I strongly urge any
members that are contemplating attending to act now. I don’t know if I can secure additional rooms at
the same rate that we are offered. Room rates will be honored three days before and after the official

Act immediately if you intend to come to the reunion. Once the 40 rooms are booked, I don’t know if I
can secure more at this discounted rate. The discount code for the booking is MPR. Please pass this
information on to other interested members. We do not have email addresses for all members.
The 720th Reunion has the following events planned:
November 10th-Welcome to our arrivals. The Hospitality Suite will open to members at 3 pm. A 2-hour
reception buffet hot meal will be set up in the hospitality suite from 7 pm to 9 pm. The cost will be
picked up by the Association. The Hospitality Suite will remain open until midnight. Members are
allowed to BYOB into the hospitality suite.
November 11th- Ground transportation will leave the hotel around 11 am and proceed to the Vietnam
Memorial for the 1 pm Ceremony. In the past, that ceremony lasted approximately 60-75 minutes.
Ground transportation will bring reunion guests back to the hotel. (Assume departure from the
Memorial at 3 pm.) Association will pick up this cost to and from the Memorial. Attendees can make
their own dinner plans for Friday evening. The Hospitality Suite is open until midnight.
November 12th- We are planning a trip to Fort Belvoir US Army Military Installation about 30 minutes
south of Arlington, VA. We will be visiting the New US Army Museum which recently opened. There is no
fee to access the museum. There will be a ground transportation fee for travel to and from the museum.
I will let the membership know what that cost is once I book ground transportation. For now, assume
departure from the Hotel around 10am-returning by 3 pm.
Saturday evening, November 12th we will host our formal reunion dinner in the hotel’s ARLINGTON
BALLROOM from 6 pm-11 pm. Dinner will consist of soup or salad, three plated entrée selections to
choose from with accompaniments, dessert, coffee & tea. A cash bar will be available for those who
wish to purchase Adult Beverages. The cost of the dinner will be $55 per person. I will send an invoice to
the attendees who wish to join us for dinner sometime in August.
Out-of-pocket costs to the membership will be Hotel accommodations plus (Parking fee $20 per day for those driving. Garage height 6'6") plus the motor coach cost to Fort Belvoir on Saturady & Dinner Saturday eve.
